Tourism Association suggests three weeks of Statewide lockdown

PANJIM: The Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) on Friday in an email communiqué to Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, suggested three weeks State wide lockdown with an advance notice of five days. 

TTAG President Nilesh Shah said considering the ferocity of the pandemic which was unable to be predicted the situation calls for an urgent and immediate Lockdown.

“There is urgent need to take the extreme measure of lockdown subject to exemptions and explanatory note herein below for 21 days (3 weeks) to stabilize the increasing number of positive cases and fatalities and give the healthcare systems and the health workers a much required breather and also an opportunity for the administration to ramp up the capacities and capabilities of the infrastructure,” Shah appealed.
