Tourism Dept to curb nuisance on beaches

PANJIM: In a bid to curb nuisance on beaches, the Department of Tourism on Friday constituted three flying squads for surveillance, monitoring and prompt action at touristic places in the North Goa District with immediate effect.

Information Assistant Sudesh Tamboskar will be the team leader and Elvis D’Souza will be taluka level supervisor of the flying squad for the beaches of Calangute including Baga upto Candolim and tourist places located in North Goa on all Fridays from 2 pm to 10 pm.

Information Assistant Manoj Parab will be team leader and Elvis D’Souza taluka level supervisor for the same beaches for all Saturdays from 2 pm to 10 pm. 

Similarly, Information Assistant Suryakant Changadkar will be the team leader and Elvis D’Souza as taluka level supervisor on Sundays from 2 pm to 10 pm.

Assistant Director of Tourism (Revenue/North) Pradeep Binnar will be the team leader and will be overall responsible for proper functioning of the flying squads.

The flying squads will keep a check on illegalities and stop any illegalities detected in areas under their jurisdiction and enforce order dated October 31, 2022 by preparing proper panchanama, report and submit the same before undersigned for necessary action.
