Deck beds still occupy Baga beachfront

CALANGUTE: The tourism season may have officially ended on May 31, but deck beds were visible all along the Baga beach.
According to sources, all tourism activities on the beach, including shacks and water sports, were to stop after the deadline of May 31. However, deck beds still seen lined up Baga beach.
Incidentally, one water sports counter was also still erected on the beach, but the chairs were dumped inside the counter room.
Tourists visiting Baga beach were seen visiting the Water Sports counter to make enquiries about water sports activities.
Enquiries with shack owners and water sports operators revealed that they had had to clear the beach by Friday night.
