MARGAO: In a letter to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco conveyed the fear and anxiety in the minds of the people of South Goa, that the Dabolim Airport will eventually shut down with the commencement of full-fledged operations at the new Mopa Airport in North Goa. He called for clarity and a promise from the government that international and domestic civilian flights will continue at the Dabolim Airport, as its closure would lead to a massive decrease in the number of tourists visiting the picturesque and premium beach belt of South Goa, affecting the livelihood of thousands in the hospitality business.
