Tourism stakeholders suggest their choice of minister

PANJIM: A day after Manohar Parrikar took oath as Chief Minister, tourism stakeholders met him suggesting three names for the Tourism portfolio.

PANJIM: A day after Manohar Parrikar took oath as Chief Minister, tourism stakeholders met him suggesting three names for the Tourism portfolio. 
Sources said that they requested the CM to choose from BJP’s Michael Lobo and Nilesh Cabral or Independent Rohan Khaunte. “We want a person who has good knowledge about the tourism sector and raises its standard. There are a lot of pending issues to be dealt with for which we need a good minister,” said one of members of the delegation while speaking to Herald. 
Non-implementation of digital meters on tourist taxis, huge hike in tariff by a large section of cabbies, long pending issue of regularisation of rent-a-cab businesses,  Tourism Master plan are amongst many issues that needs to be addressed by the new government.
