ARAMBOL: A mentally unstable non-Goan woman has spread terror amongst the tourists at the Arambol beach.

There are also two more mentally disturbed persons roaming with her and locals have expressed angst over police lacking enough control over them at the beach.

On Saturday, she slapped a foreign woman tourist which left her ear bleeding. The tourist saved herself by running inside the hotel where she was staying while the hotel owner denied entry to another mentally unsound person.

The woman attacker was detained by PSI Harish Waingankar and team around two months back after locals’ complaints. However, she has appeared on the beach once again for the last two days.

“The mentally unstable woman has quite a few exploits to her credit. She asks people for lifts and then beats them up midway through. Last week, she beat up a labourer for no reason. If people lose control and take law in their hands by beating her up to defend themselves, the beach will get a bad name,” said former panch Pravin Waingankar.

“The Pink Force of Pernem police have been called several times but have failed to keep her under control,” Waingankar added.
