MAPUSA: A tourist boat anchored near Chapora jetty caught fire on Wednesday afternoons. Owner pegged the loss at Rs 40 lakh.
Mapusa fire station received a call at 3.15 pm and rushed at the spot and doused of the fire using a tender. The tourist boat was having two rooms and was anchored near the jetty since it was not functional for few months due to some technical issue. Boat owner Sanjay Salgaonkar suspects a foul play. Anjuna police are investigating the case.
