Tourist saved from drowning

CALANGUTE, MAY 4 Ignoring requests by lifeguards nearly proved fatal for a 40-year-old tourist from Hubli-Karnataka who was rescued from drowning at the Calangute beach on Saturday afternoon.

Ignoring requests by lifeguards nearly proved fatal for a 40-year-old tourist from Hubli-Karnataka who was rescued from drowning at the Calangute beach on Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, Panchashory Shishullimath was swimming in the flag-zone was going deeper towards the open sea.
Lifeguard Siddhesh Shinde warned him a number of times but he did not abide. Shishullimath got caught in a strong inward pull, which dragged him into the sea and he started to panic.
Lifeguard Siddhesh Shinde rushed towards him with his rescue tube and got him safely to shore. He was then brought to the tower where he was given safety advice, before he was re-united with his friends.
