Traffic advisory in view of IRONMAN 70.3

PANJIM: The Goa Police on Saturday announced diversion of traffic in the capital city in view of IRONMAN 70.3 India to be held on Sunday, October 8.

As per the diversion plan, Ribandar causeway from Ribandar Patto to Divja Circle; Riverside lane of the DB Marg from Divja Circle to Miramar Circle; Miramar Beachside lane (right hand side) of the Dr Jack Sequeira road from Miramar Circle to NIO Circle and similarly RHS lane from NIO Circle till Hotel Crescent will be closed for vehicular traffic from 3 am till the end of the race.

Car lanes will be made available for the benefit of residents along DB Marg from the gate of Miramar Residency upto Hotel Marriott Resort lane. The vehicles will be allowed to move into the Hotel Goa Marriott resort lane and come out at Starbucks cafe junction, Campal and proceed to their destinations via the internal roads from Starbucks cafe junction/La Campala Colony road.

The vehicular traffic from Old Goa-Ribandar side proceeding towards Panjim will be diverted at Ribandar Patto towards Chimbel Junction to proceed to Panjim via Merces Junction/Atal Setu-Panjim down ramp. Likewise, the vehicular traffic from Panjim city desiring to proceed towards Ribandar will be diverted at Divja Circle to proceed via KTC Circle-Mala-Santa Cruz-Merces-Ribandar. The incoming vehicular traffic to Panjim city will be diverted at DB Marg at Panjim Ferry Wharf junction toproceed to their destination via MG Road.
