PONDA: The Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) held a meeting on Thursday under chairperson Ritesh Naik to discuss the traffic diversions at the Ponda market during Ganesh Chaturthi Matoli Bazaar.
Naik said, “Considering the rush for shopping for Ganesh Chaturthi from August 26, the traffic leading to Usgao will be diverted from Bandodkar building, towards Panditwada. While incoming traffic at Usgao, Bethora would be stopped at Vithoba Temple and diverted towards Shantinagar, Ponda.”
Parking for matoli bazaar will be provided at Approach Road or Aurobindo Road.
The PMC also decided to provide help to the People for Animals in providing land for sheltering stray dogs, so as to resolve the stray dog menace.
