A tragic incident unfolded at a resort in Kaggodlu village near Madikeri in Karnataka’s Kodagu district, where a family of three was found dead. The man, identified as Vinod Babusenan (43), along with his wife GB Abraham (38) and their 11-year-old daughter Jane Maria Jacob, allegedly took their lives, as revealed by a suicide note citing financial crisis. The couple, residents of Kerala’s Kollam, were running a business near the area.
The family arrived at the resort on Friday evening and checked into their cottage. They appeared to be in good spirits, going for a walk and returning for dinner. The resort staff grew concerned when the family didn’t check out at the scheduled time of 10 am on Saturday. Upon investigation, the staff discovered the tragic scene, finding the couple hanging in their cottage.
The suicide note pointed to financial difficulties as the motive behind the extreme step. The family’s unexpected demise has left the community in shock, highlighting the mental health challenges exacerbated by economic struggles.
