A collision between a two-wheeler and a tempo led to the tragic passing of Viraj Dabolkar, a 32-year-old motorcyclist. The incident occurred in Mangueshi, Mardol, around 12:30 am on Monday. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances that resulted in this fatal collision.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Mardol Police conducted a panchanama, gathering crucial evidence and information to aid in the ongoing investigation. SP Traffic Akshal Kaushal also visited the site, seeking to ascertain the root cause of the accident.
Regarding the incident, Kaushal mentioned, “Initial reports suggest it was a collision involving a milk van and a motorcycle. We’re exploring possible recommendations for road improvements in collaboration with civic agencies. Our focus remains on tackling issues like drunken driving, helmet-less riding, and monitoring rental vehicles. However, law enforcement is just one part of a larger strategy to prevent accidents. ”
