In a devastating incident, a self-accident occurred at Bhatwadi Korgao, claiming the life of a 52-year-old Russian tourist named Peter. The tourist, who was staying in Korgao on a rental basis, met with the accident while traversing Chopde via Harmal around 3:15 pm.
The unfortunate incident unfolded when Peter collided with a compound wall, resulting in injuries. Despite the prompt arrival of an ambulance and immediate transportation to the hospital, Peter succumbed to his injuries, marking a tragic end to the tourist’s stay in the region.
Today, the Pernem traffic cell staff was present at the accident site, emphasizing the importance of wearing helmets. However, it was noted that none of the individuals present at the location were wearing helmets, highlighting a concerning lack of adherence to safety protocols.
