A distressing self-accident unfolded late Thursday night in Konadi-Korgao, as a Tamil Nadu registered taxi, driven by Balerao, lost control on a sharp turn along the Konadi-Korgao road. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported, but 11 individuals suffered severe injuries, raising concerns about road safety in the area.
Late on Thursday night, a harrowing incident occurred in Konadi-Korgao when a Tamil Nadu registered taxi, under the control of Balerao, veered off the road while negotiating a sharp turn. The vehicle plunged into the bushes, resulting in severe injuries for 11 individuals. Miraculously, there were no reported fatalities.
According to local accounts, the injured individuals were migrant workers who had come to Goa for pipeline works. The accident transpired around 11 pm on Thursday night, and prompt medical attention was provided as the injured were swiftly transported to the hospital. However, as of now, the car remains at the accident spot, awaiting removal.
Local residents, deeply concerned about the safety of their community, are urging authorities to construct a protective wall to prevent such tragic accidents in the future.
