MARGAO: A senior citizen was robbed of cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs 2.5 lakh while travelling in Matsyagandha Express by an unknown person near the Karmali Railway Station.
Konkan Railway Police said 61-year-old Roque Rodrigues from Thane, Maharashtra complained that a pink ladies handbag containing gold mangalsutra, necklace, one pair of earrings, ladies finger ring gram besides mobile phone, debit card, house keys and cash of Rs 6,000 was stolen by an unknown person.
Konkan Railway Police have registered an offence and PSI Krishna Naik is investigating the case.
