PANJIM: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) will conduct training programme for members from South Goa on how to enroll new members on Friday, as part of action plan announced by AICC In-Charge of Goa Desk, Dinesh Gundu Rao.
Members of Blocks, District and PCC from South Goa District will attend the training programme to be conducted by AICC observer for Goa, Prakash Rathod and District observers Mansoor Khan and Sunil Hannumanavar at the party’s South Goa District office, Margao, at 4 pm on Friday.
They will also guide participants on how to enroll new members and also constitute booth committees.
Another meeting will be held for members of Blocks, District and PCC from North Goa District at party’s office, Mapusa at 4 pm, on Saturday.
This is the first stage of the action plan announced by Dinesh Rao during his recent visit to the State and GPCC coordination committee headed by former Union Minister Ramakant Khalap has started the implementation of the action plan in right earnest.
The coordination committee has constituted eight sub-committees for undertaking intensive membership drive across the State. The sub-committees are headed by Pratapsingh Rane, Luizinho Faleiro, Francisco Sardinha, Digambar Kamat, Ravi Naik, Aleixo Reginald Lourenco, Girish Chodankar and Ramakant Khalap.
Each leader has been entrusted with five constituencies along with five convenors namely Agnelo Fernandes, Pradip Naik, Subhash Phaldessai, Vithoba Dessai, Sankalp Amonkar, Altinho Gomes, Dharma Chodankar and Babi Bagkar respectively.
