PANJIM: The Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights in collaboration with the Goa State Legal Service Authority will organise ‘Training on Juvenile Jurisprudence’ on Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 at the Advocates Conference Hall, second floor, High Court of Bombay at Goa, Porvorim on December 12 from 10 am to 1 pm.
The training is specially organised for juvenile welfare police officers across all police stations in Goa, who handle cases of both juveniles in conflict with law and children in need of care of protection and are the first line of intervention in all cases.
Director General of Police (DGP) Indradev Shukla, IPS will be the chief guest for the programme. Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Right Chairperson Peter Floriano Borges and Member Secretary of Goa State Legal Service Authority Sayonara Telles Laad will be present on the occasion.
The training would be led by Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) coordinator Emidio Pinho on the topic ‘Juvenile Justice Act and its implementation and Public Prosecutor Narayan Kalangutkar on the topic features of Juvenile Justice Act, Procedure Pre and Post Production before board, bail, inquiry, offences under Act.
