CURCHOREM: Normalcy returned to Cavrem-Pirla on Saturday following three days of tension and confrontation between agitating residents and authorities over transportation of the stacked ore from the Cavrem mines.
Ore transportation resumed at the mines without any untoward incident, as police teams were posted at the site.
“The situation at Cavrem has returned to normal and transportation was carried out peacefully without any untoward incident,” Quepem Police Inspector Ram Asare told Herald.
Quepem Deputy Collector Ajit Panchwadkar also informed that there was no untoward incident either at the mines or anywhere else in the taluka.
