VASCO: On the first day of the resumption of fishing after a two-month ban, 28 fishing trawlers and 8 Pershing boats who had left from Khariwaddo, Vasco to catch fish had to return empty handed, said sources from the Goa Fishing Boat Owners Association.
All the boats that had gone to cast their nets on the high seas somewhere off the coast of Cutbona reportedly returned without any fish due to the bad weather conditions.
Sources further informed that 28 of the 160 fishing trawlers anchored at Khariwaddo had ventured to go fishing despite the bad weather conditions.
