PONDA: With the grown-up trees’ branches coming on the national highway bypass road at Khadpaband-Kavlem junction, it blocks the front view of the road and poses risk of accidents.
Even the cautionary signboards are not visible at the junction located on Dhavlim-Farmagudi national highway bypass.
Due to grown-up trees’ branches Kavlem -Khadpaband junction is not even visible to the speeding vehicles on highway.
The Khadpaband-Kavlem junction on Dhavlim-Farmagudi slope which is considered a death trap due to the zooming speed of the vehicles even on the sharp turns.
As it is located on the steep slope and vehicle on the highway are speeding at a high speed without aware of the junction, there is a need of safety measures such as rumbler strips to slow down the speed of vehicles at this junction. There is orange light signal which blink but vehicles are never seen slowing down.
