PONDA: A huge mango tree collapsed on the house of Damodar Naik, at Nagzar, Curti, totally damaging the structure Thursday night. The incident took place around 7 pm, luckily most of the family members escaped unhurt.
However, wife of Damodar, who was working in the kitchen, fractured her hand. Other members residing in the house including tenants escaped unhurt. The injured woman was shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Ponda Fire Station In-Charge Sushil Morajkar, Curti Sarpanch Shailesh Shet and Talathi inspected the damaged house.
