VASCO: The Vasco police arrested three persons on the charge of assaulting each other and creating nuisance in the public place at Vasco on Sunday night.
The incident was occurred outside a bar and restaurant situated in the heart of the port town and about 100 metres away from Vasco police station. The accused Amir Jayendra Naik (33) and Vittal Sudan Naik (35), both residents of Vollant-Vasco and Pritam Naik (35) from Vasco entered into a verbal argument between them outside the bar and restaurant, under the influence of alcohol and soon they assaulted each other, sustaining simple injuries.
The Vasco police registered a case against them under sections 324, 504, 506 (ii) and 160 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for abusing and assaulting each other with blows, kicks and knife causing injuries to their body, threatening each other with dire consequences to kill and also for disturbing the peace and tranquillity in public place, thereby committing unwarranted act by taking law in their hands.
