Trio rescued from drowning

Three tourists were rescued from drowning in the sea off Calangute during the weekend.
According to reports, Aditya Pappu (35) from Hyderabad, S V Raju (41) and Raju Shikaripur (41), both from Karnataka, were rescued by Drishti Surf Life Team of Uday Paryekar, Ganesh Pednekar, Nagesh Dholage, Siddesh Dhargalkar and Anil Gaonkar.
All the tourists had ventured into rough seas at Calangute despite warnings by Drishti lifeguards and were pulled in by heavy under water currents. The Drishti Surf Life team rushed to their rescue and saved them from drowning.
