The incident took place at 4 am on Thursday morning, sparking renewed calls from locals for the immediate construction of a flyover to mitigate accidents. Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries were reported in this alarming incident.

Familiar with the perilous conditions of this junction, locals stressed that previous appeals for a roundabout or flyover have been disregarded. Expressing frustration, a resident stated, “We asked our MLA to build a flyover and a roundabout at this junction along with a proposal that we presented to the panchayat, however our request was ignored. Numerous lives have been lost at this junction. There are at least two accidents per month. Despite the media’s repeated attention to this alarming problem, nothing has been done about it as of now. In spite of everything, there are no functioning traffic signals or traffic officers stationed here.”
Urgent calls for infrastructure upgrades resound throughout the community, underscoring the imperative for government intervention and the implementation of effective traffic control measures to safeguard all road users.
