VALPOI: A head-on collision between a truck laden with gravel and a container truck on Valpoi-Honda road on Sunday night injured the container driver besides causing traffic congestion on the route. Fortunately, police rushed to the site and cleared the traffic within no time.
As per the sources, a truck carrying gravel was proceeding from Valpoi to Honda while the container was coming from the opposite side. Due to the head-on collision near Hotel Sneha, the truck fell on its side spilling the gravel on the road. The driver of the container suffered head injuries and was taken to Sankhali Community Health Centre where doctors said that he was out of danger.
