MARGAO: “We for Fatorda”, a charitable trust, is launching its women-oriented project “Unnati” at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on Sunday at the hands of Governor Bharat Vir Wanchoo.
“Unnati … for people & planet” is a confederation of almost 100 self-help groups from Fatorda. Its aim is to build a sustainable community based on justice and equality by working with and for women who are determined to craft their own independence. “Unnati” will provide opportunities for them in entrepreneurship and business.
The event will also see the introduction of Unnati’s signature range “Homework” which includes exotic soaps, sumptuous masalas, delectable snacks and quaint handicrafts, produced by women entrepreneurs. All “Homework … made from the heart, made at home” products are hand-crafted, eco-friendly and energy-efficient. The soaps, which are bespoke, are free from parabens and other harmful chemicals normally found in soaps. Every single one is unique and will have a designer appeal. The soaps will be available in a wide range of fragrances like spicy soaps, herbal soaps, earthy soaps, floral soaps & fruity soaps.
The products will be on display at the venue of the launch.
