In the first case, the court acquitted Rajasthan native Mouji Jatak (25), who was arrested by Cuncolim police for allegedly raping a 22-year-old married woman at her house in Sarzora. As per the case, Jatak and the victim knew each other as he frequently visited her house. After the incident, the victim informed her husband and lodged a complaint with Cuncolim police. In the second case, the court acquitted Bihar native Amarendra Raj Kumar for allegedly raping a 22-year-old Jamshedpur student. As per the case, Kumar, who was working as a cook in Vasco, befriended the woman and later promised to marry her. He brought her to his rented room in Vasco and raped her. She was then locked in his room and not allowed to use the phone.
