PANJIM: The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) sleuths have arrested two youth for smuggling drugs worth Rs 2.5 lakh in Anjuna.
Details shared by the police reveals that Mohammad Rafi (24) and Shanoob K H (23), both hailing from Kerala were caught red-handed in possession of suspected LSD papers worth Rs 2.5 lakh in the international market.
The seized contraband was found concealed in their scooter during a raid at Anjuna on the night of Tuesday. “The 48 suspected LSD papers were meant for illegal sale in the State in the wake of ongoing tourist season. The alleged drug peddlers came to Goa in the last week of November and since then were in search of prospective customers to sell the drugs,” the police said.
