VASCO: The Vasco police on Saturday arrested two local youth in connection with a theft reported on December 24. Police have also recovered stolen articles from the possession of accused persons.
According to police, articles from the flat of one Zuleca Fernandez of Chicalim were stolen, when she alongwith her family members had gone out to attend Christmas midnight mass.
While investigating the case, police received information through the IMEI number that the stolen mobile is under use. Following the lead, police put the mobile number under surveillance and nabbed one Aspak Kaddur, a resident of New Vaddem, who was using the stolen mobile handset. On interrogation, he revealed that he along with one Sikandder Shaikh, a resident of Birla, committed theft.
