Two Booked After ITI Student Dies of Electrocution During Electrical Work in Bicholim

Bicholim Police have registered a case against two persons following the electrocution death of a 20-year-old ITI Electrical student at Maulinguem.

The deceased has been identified as Akshat Rajesh Naik, who reportedly suffered a fatal electric shock while assisting in electrical installation and testing work at a newly constructed house.

According to police, preliminary inquiries revealed that the electrical work was allegedly being carried out without adequate safety precautions, resulting in the fatal accident.

Based on the findings of the inquiry, Bicholim Police have booked the two accused under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The identities of the accused have not been disclosed.

Police have initiated further investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident and determine whether negligence or violations of safety norms contributed to the student’s death.
