CANACONA: Gaondogrem woman filed a complaint against two persons for abuse and attempt to assault.
Moga Gaonkar, 40, a resident of Nanem in Gaondogrem village, has in her complaint to the Canacona police, alleged verbal abuse and attempt to assault her by two neighbours on Saturday evening.
Gaonkar told this correspondent that she was alone in the house at 8 pm on Saturday when two of her neighbours Sonu Bhikro and Dinesh Gaonkar, both cousins of her husband, tried to assault her.
“On seeing both of them menacingly approaching her with a common intention of assaulting me, I ran inside my house and latched the front door from inside,” she said.
She alleged that this is the fallout of the property dispute in the family. “Taking advantage of my husband not being at home at that time they came to attack me,” she alleged.
A complaint in this regard is registered at Canacona police station against both the accused under Sections 352 and 504 read with 34 of IPC, sources said.
