MARGAO: The Maina-Curtorim Police have filed a case against two individuals for cheating and misappropriation of shuttering plates worth Rs. 28,17,000.
The accused, Nilofor Sheikh and Iqbal Sayyed, both residents of Davorlim, were entrusted with 1,922 units of shuttering plates on rent for construction purposes.
A complaint lodged by Jecy Fernandes of Nuvem alleged that the accused fraudulently misappropriated all the plates for their own business. The police have registered a case under IPC Sections 406 and 420.
