VALPOI: Two calves were thrashed in Valpoi, on Tuesday. Seeing the bovines wounded, one Faizal Shaikh and Valpoi Councillor Sayyad Sarfaraz immediately informed the Valpoi police of the same.
Later, the Valpoi police informed the All Goa Gosavardhan Kendra, Valpoi, of the wounded animals, whose workers rushed to the spot, took the calves to Goshala and treated them.
With a significant rise in the stray cattle, Valpoi residents are aggrieved over the apathy of local authorities in dealing with the menace.
