PANJIM: Two policemen including a sub inspector are new COVID cases detected in the Goa Police that is already grappling with increasing cases.
A Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) attached to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office at headquarters, and a constable deployed at Chief Minister’s Official Residence tested positive for COVID infection, on Monday.
The Police Headquarters had already recorded two cases over a week ago, while this is the fourth COVID case at the CM’s residence.
The constable, who is the latest victim, initially tested negative. Around 60 policemen including a PI have so far been victims of COVID. Out of the total, little more than half have recovered.
