MARGAO: Two flats in the busy locality of Aquem, Margao were burgled on Wednesday midnight.
The burglars broke the lock of the main door of the two flats one belonging to James Pereira and another to Vishnu Bhat.
People were shocked as to how the residences in a highly populated locality could be robbed in this manner. The robbers took the advantage of the absence of families. The robbers fled with cash and valuables worth Rs 1.9 lakh.
Bhat, owner of one of the flat said he was away last night when the flat was burgled. He noticed the same when he reached home in the morning. The team of forensic investigations and dog squad have collected the first evidence and are investigating the matter.
