Two Haryana natives arrested for fleeing with rent-a-car

VASCO: The Vasco police arrested two persons from Haryana for fleeing with rent-a-car. 

The police gave the names of the accused as Aadesh Kumar 30, and Manoj Singh 29, both natives of Haryana. The accused arrived in the State and took a rent-a-car on March 3 from Sahajan Mohammed Salim of Baina for four days on the pretext of returning the same. However, they fled with the vehicle and dishonestly misappropriated it for their own use. The value of the vehicle was Rs 6.50 lakh.

Following a complaint, a police team led by PSI Mayur Sawant and Santosh Bhatkar and Naeem Shaikh apprehended both the accused at Shirdi in Maharashtra and recovered the vehicle. 

Both the accusead were brought to Goa and placed them under arrest. The accused had taken the vehicle on rent for Rs 1,200 per day.

Both the accused have been remanded in two days police custody by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Vasco. 

The Vasco police have registered the case under section 406 of IPC and PSI Mayur Sawant is conducting further investigation under the guidance of Vasco PI Kapil Nayak and overall guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
