MAPUSA: Colvale Police arrested a duo, residents of Madel-Tivim on charges of assaulting a tenant.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Saturday around 6 pm when the accused identified as Shailesh alias Vasudev Salgaonkar and Naresh Salgaonkar, both residents of Madel-Tivim had gone to a shop to do a mobile recharge which they had rented to complainant Vinay Purohit to run.
The police said that both the accused got into an argument over Rs 200 recharge and further assaulted the complainant causing head injuries and fled away from the spot.
In this connection, the police registered an offence under Section 323, 324, 326 and 504 of Indian Penal Code against both the accused. On Tuesday, both the accused were placed under arrest.
