Two held for damaging ore trucks, bailed out

BICHOLIM: Bicholim police on Wednesday arrested Babu Chari and Rajdeep Naik from Usgaon, Bicholim, for allegedly damaging tipper trucks carrying e-auctioned iron ore near Amitech junction in Navelim, Bicholim.

BICHOLIM: Bicholim police on Wednesday arrested Babu Chari and Rajdeep Naik from Usgaon, Bicholim, for allegedly damaging tipper trucks carrying e-auctioned iron ore near Amitech junction in Navelim, Bicholim. The accused were later released on bail. 
Bicholim Police Inspector Ninad Deulkar said that the accused had damaged four trucks carrying e-auctioned iron ore near Amitech junction Navelim Bicholim, on Saturday evening. 
The trucks were engaged in transportation of e-auctioned ore from Vedanta’s Codli Mines to its pig iron plant at Amona in Bicholim. One of the truck drivers, Anand Desai, was also injured due to stone pelting. 
Following this, the pig iron plant manager S M Domnic had lodged a complaint with Bicholim police. 
After registering a case under Sections 341, 504 and 506 of IPC, the police were on the look out for the accused, who went into hiding after committing the offence. The accused were finally nabbed on Wednesday and produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class at Bicholim, who released them on bail.
PSI Shivram Gaonkar is investigating into matter under the guidance of PI Ninad Deulkar.
