Two held for mobile theft

VASCO: Vasco railway police arrested two persons for allegedly stealing cell phones from railway passengers. 
According to the police, one Subhas Padhi, a resident of Bhubaneshwar, complained that on August 17, when he was travelling by Vasco-Howrah Amravati Express to unknown person stole his mobile phone worth Rs 14,000 which was kept for charging above his seat. The incident occurred when the train reached Collem station and accused reportedly jumped out of the train and disappeared.
While investigating the case, the Vasco railway police recently apprehended one person on suspicion and during interrogation, he confessed that he had stolen the mobile phone of the complainant. 
He also disclosed that the after committing mobile theft he handed over the stolen mobile to his friend who then sold the same to another person, who was later arrested by police. 
The arrested persons are identified as Rajesh Kerkatta and Sagar Kerkatta, both natives of Jharkhand. Police also suspect involvement of the arrested accused in other mobile theft cases reported on railway.
