MAPUSA: Dattesh Gadekar, 33, and Shivam Vernekar, 30, both residents of Morod-Mapusa, were arrested by the Mapusa police for allegedly stealing a Honda Activa 125 scooter bearing registration No. GA-03-AC-3687 from Taliwada.
Acting on a complaint, the Mapusa police moved around the locality and collected CCTV footages from different spots, scrutinised, pursued, identified and zeroed down on the two culprits.
Head Constables Tukaram Shirodkar and Sushant Chopdekar and PCs Prakash Polekar, Akshay Patil, Anand Rathod , Saidas Panjikar and Rajesh Kandolkar cracked the case and recovered the stolen scooter.
