PONDA: A 35-year-old truck driver from Haryana was injured after he was stabbed by another truck driver at Bethora by-pass road in Ponda on the intervening night of December 25 and 26. Two persons have been arrested in this connection.
According to Ponda police, the victim truck driver, Rakeshsing Kumar, had taken Rs 1,000 from Mukesh Shersing Choudari (29) some days ago. However, the victim failed to return the money when the accused demanded it.
Police said the victim and the accused coincidentally came with loaded trucks on the bypass road at Bethora on Thursday night and parked their vehicles alongside the road, when the accused again asked the victim to return the money.
Police further informed that Rakeshsing told the accused that he would pay later, which angered the accused and his accomplice, who allegedly manhandled him, while Mukesh allegedly stabbed Rakeshsing.
