MARGAO: The Margao town police in two different cases have nabbed two men and seized a whopping Rs 1.5 lakh rupees ganja from them.
The Margao Town police laid a trap and arrested Mohmmad Kaligar from Gogal Housing Board while in possession of 900 grams of ganja. Kaligar is a driver of an ambulance and is a resident of Tilamol in Quepem.
In another case, police arrested Saish Vaswade for the same crime of possessing 1 kg of ganja. He is a Gogal Housing Board resident and has been in this trade for several years.
The case of Saish Vaswade has gathered lot of shock amongst the society as people have been left to wonder whether the raids really curb the drug menace.
