MARGAO: In a distressing incident near Rosary Church in Davorlim, two individuals, including a 19-year-old youth, sustained injuries following a collision between a car and a scooter.
The accident victims have been identified as Sagar Lamani, 58, the rider of the scooter, and Parshuram Lamani, 19, the pillion rider. Both are residents of the housing board in Rumdamol, Davorlim.
According to Pi Ravi Dessai from the Maina Curtorim Police Station, a complaint was lodged by Janappa Lamani, who alleged that Trunal Naik, a car driver from Cortalim, drove his vehicle recklessly and negligently, posing a grave threat to human life.
He hit the scooter, causing the two men to be thrown off.
The police has registered an offense against the car driver under IPC Sections 279, 337, and 338.
