MAPUSA: Two Karnataka natives were arrested by the Mapusa for a series of house breaking cases under their jurisdiction.
The arrested are identified as Pundalik Laxman Chavan Lamani (22), a resident of Anjuna and native of Godak, and Asif Allabaksha Bepari (20), a resident of Thivim and native of Belgaum.
Police recovered 10 LCD/ LEDs of Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, UV, Haier, Philips, LG and Dektron all worth Rs 4.50 lakh; besides, an I-phone of Apple make, a Sony sound system, a Pulsar and an Aprila motorcycle. The police also attached the house breaking tools from the accused persons.
Police informed that on interrogation, the accused have confessed to committing the crimes and also revealed that they used to target closed houses for burglary. The accused are booked under Sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC.
The personnel who worked on the case include PSI Kiran Naik, ASI L S Sawant, PC Alvito Dmello, Irshad Watangi, Franky Vaz, Rupesh Korgaonkar, Laxmikant Naik, Vijay Naik, Rajesh Kandolkar, Abhishek Kaskar and LPC Trisha Pednekar.
