MARGAO: Two persons were killed after they were hit by trains in separate tragedies on Tuesday evening.
In the first mishap, an unknown person aged around 40 died on the spot after he was hit by a speeding train near platform number 6 at the Margao Railway Station.
The second accident was reported near the railway bridge at Poroscodem, Pernem wherein a 17-year-old boy came under a running train and died.
The Konkan Railway Police conducted the panchanama in both the cases and sent the bodies to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim for post-mortem examination, informed assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Dattatray Naik.
