Two kiosks gutted in fire at Mapusa

MAPUSA: Two kiosks were gutted in fire and two shops partially burnt past midnight on Monday.

MAPUSA: Two kiosks were gutted in fire and two shops partially burnt past midnight on Monday.
According to Mapusa Fire Station in-charge Bosco Ferrao, they received a call at 1 am from Panjim control room informing that two shops in Mapusa market had caught fire.
Immediately, Mapusa Fire Force team rushed to the spot, but it took them over half an hour to bring the fire under control. The Fire force pressed two fire tenders and also used fire hydrants from Mapusa market to extinguish the fire completely. Ten fire fighters were used to control the fire.
Two kiosks (4×4 sq mts) were completed gutted in the fire. The loss is estimated at Rs 5 lakh.
