Mapusa: Two kiosks selling eatables were gutted in the wee hours on Friday after when an LPG cylinder exploded at one of the stalls in Vagator. Luckily no injuries or casualties were reported.
The officials of the Mapusa fire station stated that the control room received a call at around 5 am informing them about the incident and immediately a team of fire fighters deputed to the spot.
The firemen noticed that the kiosks had caught fire and removed three LPG cylinders which were stored inside and doused off the flames.
The owners Dnyneshwar Chimulkar and Santosh Ambekar claimed loss of around Rs 2.5 lakh.
The Mapusa police are investigating to ascertain the cause of the fire.
