VASCO: The drivers of two cargo vehicles learnt the dangers of racing on a heavy traffic road the hard way on Tuesday.
Driving a Tata Ace and a Mahindra Maximo, the divers were racing towards Dabolim at a high speed from Zuarinagar. On reaching near Gadgil Hills near Zarinagar, they collided with the stationary Bolero Jeep parked by the roadside and were thrown into the gorge.
One of the drivers was grievously injured and was taken to GMC for treatment and later discharged.
Enquiries revealed that the drivers of the Tata Ace and Mahindra Maximo were racing for a bet of Rs 500.
