PANJIM/MAPUSA: The lifeguards rescued two persons from drowning in separate incidents at Zalor and Ashwem beach over the last two days.
At Zalor beach, a 62-year-old woman from Russia entered into the sea and was unable to swim back. Drishti lifesaver Lavu Gaonkar rushed to her aid and brought her ashore.
At Ashwem beach, a 40-year-old male from Mumbai entered into the sea and got pulled inward by a rip current. Noticing the victim struggling Drishti lifesavers Siddesh Bhosle and Dhako Talkar rushed to the victim’s rescue. Both victims were found to be out of danger.
