PERNEM: Pernem Police on Thursday arrested two thieves for stealing tyres and alloy wheels within 24 hours of registration of the First Information Report.
According to information provided by Pernem Police Station Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi, on Wednesday, a complaint was registered by one Rakesh Yadav, resident of Agarwada, Pernem stating that a total of 10 tyres along with the alloy wheels were stolen from his brother’s garage, at Agarwada.
He stated that the cars were brought for repairs and maintenance in the garage. Immediately, a team under the supervision of PI Dalvi examined the area with the help of CCTV cameras and based on the footages obtained found that a Hyundai i10 car was used for committing the crime.
Further, after gathering information through sources, two persons identified as Gajanan Ankush Kubal (27), resident of Acoi, Karaswada and Dnyandeep Dnyaneshwar Mahale (22), resident of Madel, Tivim were arrested. The police informed that all the stolen tyres along with the alloy wheels were recovered from the accused. The car used in the crime has also been taken into custody.
